Thanks so much to everyone who came to LTGTR 2016.   The full report is on my facebook page and the Let The Good Times Roll website.  Note the following date in your calendar:

DATE FOR 2017:  October 21 -- This will a 15th Birthday Party for our Event so expect to PARTY!!!

Background Info:

I am the Event Director and work alongside Fred (DJ) and Eddie Buckley organizing 'Let The Good Times Roll ...', a Workshop/Dinner/Dance held each Fall in Toronto.  The initial idea was to have a non-intimidating event that would allow newer dancers and those who didn't attend larger events to "try an event out"!  We invited local instructors to teach alongside Fred and myself. We have also had international guest instructors from time to time ...  Rosie Multari, Larry Bass and Michele Perron.   To our delight the Event proved to be a success with both newer less confident dancers and intermediate dancers attending and twelve years later we still sell out.

Format:   Doors open at 11 a.m. and teaching starts at 12.  The instruction starts with Beginner dances, moving up to Improver, ending with Intermediate, then we have a 'Blast From The Past' which everyone enjoys.   We have open dancing in between the teaching to give brains a rest!    You can choose to register for the full day including the meal or just for the afternoon workshop.

Meal:  A meal is served in-house so you don't have to go out searching for a restaurant.

Open Dance/Evening Dance:   We prepare a list of dances that will be played at the Event and post it to both this side and Fred's website well ahead of the Event date so that dancers can review the dances if they would like to.   Fred is our DJ and tries to ensure that every dancer gets an opportunity to hit the floor!!

Fund Raising:   We have a 50/50 and a 'Gift Basket Auction' for different charities every year.  Dale makes beautiful baskets and this fund-raising is very popular.

We would like to thank all those dancers who have joined us on the dance floor for the last fourteen years as well as our talented guest instructors.

Dancin' For Miracles
I manage the facebook page and website for this long-running fund-raising line dance event held in Wasaga Beach, Ontario.  Event Director Valarie Keller, together with Rose Turcotte and their many volunteers have raised thousands and thousands of dollars for cancer and currently for hospices.  It is a "must go to" event for Ontario dancers and is also attracting dancers from further afield, it is just so much fun.   So don't forget to join us in 2017, September 8-10.  Check out the website for full details.
